West Cook Wild Ones Annual Meeting

  • Oak Park Public Library 834 Lake Street Oak Park, IL, 60301 United States (map)

From West Cook Wild Ones:

Become a member to join in the fun at this annual meeting.

The Business: We are excited to offer this in-person meeting to introduce our chapter officers, board members (new and old) and most importantly to gather our members together to celebrate our accomplishments and to talk about our ideas for the year ahead.

The Fun (aka- Fun for Plant Geeks): After our business meeting, we plan a short review of 30 x 30: A Global Deal for Nature which is a science-based approach to preserve Earth's biodiversity by conserving 30% of earth's land and water by the year 2030. We will follow with a brain-storming session with you-the dynamic and thoughtful members of our chapter-on how we help enact the plan in our region of Illinois.

If you want to learn more about 30 x 30 before the meeting, you can check out a recording of Adrian Fisher's excellent presentation, "30 x 30: Good News for Ecosystems, Wildlife and our Climate."
