Tomorrow evening, Green Tuesdays in the Village will be presenting a panel discussion on BIG DATA IN THE VILLAGE.  

The panel discussion will inquire how big data can better engage citizenry and enable local government toward more informed decision- and policymaking in the Village of Oak Park. To this end, the discussion will be based on the following topics and questions.

  • What are the emerging and novel forms of big data, and how can they contribute to an engaged citizenry and better informed policymaking in the Village of Oak Park?

  • What data is relevant and meaningful in the Village of Oak Park?

  • What mobile apps are relevant and meaningful in the Village of Oak Park?

  • What are best practices and applications regarding big data in nearby peer communities?

Green Tuesdays in the Village is an annual public lecture series on various environmental topics and issues specifically relevant to the Village of Oak Park. Started in 2006, Green Tuesdays meets every Tuesday of Earth Month (April) at the Oak Park Public Library.
